Standard can sealing option \u2013 The limits<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The standard can\/valve assembly is complex and requires a great mastery of the processes at all levels and in particular how to control the filling conditions and to master the capability of its clinching dimensions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, the mounting cup valve shape is not designed to resist to the high internal pressure.<\/span><\/p>\n

To increase really the can\/valve pressure resistance, it is necessary to accept a significant price can and valve increases that need to be reinforced.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Aerosol Directive<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

It is important to note that the 21 November 2016 publication of the Aerosol Directive 75\/324, 4th<\/sup> Adaptation to Technical Progress, the aerosol directive now permits to fil aerosol can up to a pressure of 15\u00a0bars – at 50\u00b0C – for compressed gases or dissolved gases not flammable.<\/span><\/p>\n

The can internal pressure resistance which will be conditioned at 15\u00a0bars at 50\u00b0C will have to be 15\u00a0*\u00a01.5\u00a0=\u00a022.5\u00a0bars internal pressure resistance minimum. This means that the can must have a first deformation or a bottom bulging of at least 22.5\u00a0bar and have to burst at a pressure greater than 27\u00a0bars.<\/span><\/p>\n

The can\/valve connection must be able to withstand at least 27\u00a0bars.<\/span><\/p>\n
